Forgetting To Remember - An Alzheimer's Story
Click to DonateAlzheimer's has affected a way too young and way too lively guy, named Luke McLaughlin. His family has been deeply impacted by this disease: Luke's mother passed away from this and his sister is currently in the later stages. This is a family full of laughter and life that has been part of the beautiful, rural community of Norwalk, Iowa, for decades.
Luke and his family have laughed and cried their way through so much loss. We love Luke's light hearted honesty and no BS mentality through it all, and The New Road Productions is going to tell his story.
If we aren't laughing about it, we are crying...and we'd rather laugh as long as we can. Through the lens of Luke's zany humor we want to show how the memories we hold dear slip through the fingers of beloved family and friends who are afflicted by this disease. We will highlight the relationships all around him in an honest telling of the weight this brings to those nearest to Alzheimer's patients.
Ultimately the aim of our short film is that everyone who has been affected by Alzheimer's, or very well may be in the future, knows that they are not alone. And to raise Alzheimer's Awareness to #ENDALZ.
Please donate anything you can towards this powerful story being told...every dollar helps! And please share this with as many people in your circle as possible. Thank you!
